Despite disagreements between Russia and Turkiye in ensuring security in Syria, the partnership of Moscow and Ankara allows them to discuss it openly and constructively, said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.

“There are certain nuances in the approaches of Russia and Turkiye to the situation in Syria and the non-fulfillment of their obligations under the Sochi memorandum. These nuances even the disagreements have been discussed by both presidents many times,” said D.Peskov while commenting on the Kremlin’s response to the Turkish President's statement regarding Russia's non-fulfillment of its obligation to rid Syrian regions of YPG/PKK armed groups under the 2019 agreement.

The Kremlin spokesman also noted that the friendly and partnership nature of relations with Turkiye allows open and constructive discussion of these differences.
