The information presented during the press conference of Kyrgyz Ambassador to Azerbaijan Kairat Osmonaliev that "Kyrgyzstan offered the countries of Central Asia and South Caucasia to meet separately from Russia" is not true and provocative, the press service of the Kyrgyz president said, APA reports citing AKI Press.

According to the statement, there was no such wording in the interview.

In this regard, President Sadyr Japarov handed a strong reprimand to Ambassador Kairat Osmonaliev for uncoordinated statements, which sparked "distorted media interpretations."

At a press conference at Sputnik Azerbaijan, the Ambassador said Kyrgyzstan suggested to create an international platform 5+3 (5 countries of Central Asia and 3 countries of the South Caucasus).

"This is an initiative of Kyrgyzstan, which has already received support from the President's office. 5+3 is a formula for cooperation between the 5 countries of Central Asia and 3 countries of the South Caucasus in different directions: political, diplomatic, economic, cultural and humanitarian," he said.

Kairat Osmonaliev was appointed Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Azerbaijan in June 2021.
