Russia will evaluate the attempts to forcibly include Georgia in NATO as a violation of a "red line", said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at the press conference in this regard, APA reports citing TASS.

"Our position regarding the enlargement of NATO is clear to everyone: if the alliance continues to approach the borders of the Russian Federation, this will be the "red line," said the Russian FM.

According to S.Lavrov, Russia's proposals regarding the security guarantees in the context of common security in the Euro-Atlantic region show that Russia is interested in preventing the negative development of events on scenarios planned by NATO strategists, and sincerely does this.
