Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stressed on Monday that the world is now at an even "more dangerous threshold" than it was during the Cold War, APA reports citing Teletrader.
Speaking at the United Nations Security Council meeting, Lavrov stated that "the situation is aggravated by the loss of faith in multilateralism." He went on to say that the West destroyed the "benefits of multilateralism" and is now "imposing [its] own vision of democracy."
The Russian diplomat accused Washington and its allies of turning the International Monetary Fund "into a tool to achieve their military goals." Lavrov emphasized that the Western minority "should behave decently and respect other members of the world community."
