Lukashenko to attend CSTO summit, hold talks with Putin in Moscow on 16 May

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko is set to pay a working visit to the Russian Federation, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader, APA reports citing Belta.

The leaders of the countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization will meet on 16 May in Moscow for a summit on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Collective Security Treaty and the 20th anniversary of the CSTO.

The leaders are also set to exchange views on the current situation in the region and the world, and discuss measures of joint response to emerging challenges and threats.

Aleksandr Lukashenko is expected to hold talks with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. One of the main topics of discussion will be the development of cooperation and joint work on import substitution.
