Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev (pictured) said on Thursday that if Ukraine attacks Russian facilities and territory, the Russian Armed Forces will have no choice but to retaliate against the decision-making centers, APA reports citing Tele Trader.

Medvedev's remarks come after United States President Joe Biden announced an additional $700 million-worth security assistance to Ukraine, including advanced weaponry such as the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS), which could pose a significant threat to the Russian defensive lines due to their range.

"It is absolutely clear that (…) in case these types of weapons are used against Russian territories, in that case, our country's armed forces will have no choice but to act and hit the decision-making centers," Medvedev added in an interview with Al Jazeera TV.
