The Russian Foreign Ministry said on Monday it summoned the Norwegian ambassador to the country, Robert Kvile, due to Oslo's recent arrests of Russian citizens, APA reports citing the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The ministry noted the convictions of Russian citizens were "politically motivated" and urged Norway to cease its "Russophobic" actions, including the persecution of its nationals.
In October, Norwegian police said they arrested a man suspected to be a Russian spy, who posed as a Brazilian citizen and worked as a university professor.
