Rosatom CEO: Zaporizhzhia staff managing situation

Russian Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation CEO, Alexey Likhachev, has reassured the public that the staff at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant (ZNPP) are keeping the situation under control in the aftermath of the Kakhovka dam destruction, APA reports citing Teletrader.

According to him, the workers are acting "absolutely competently and in a timely manner," demonstrating a full grasp of the situation. He added that there are a "whole range of backup options" available to address emergencies, emphasizing that the personnel is "technologically ready for them."

International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi stated today that the agency is monitoring the water levels at ZNPP.
