Russia bans 287 members of British Parliament

Russian Foreign Ministry announced on Wednesday retaliatory measures against the United Kingdom, sanctioning 287 members of the House of Commons of the British Parliament, APA's Moscow correspondent reports citing the ministry's statement.

The decision will no longer allow individuals to enter the territory of Russia as they were responsible for spreading "Russophobia" across Britain and "took an active part in the establishment of anti-Russian sanctions instruments in London," the ministry wrote.

The authorities noted that the measures are a response to the UK's decision to impose sanctions against 386 members of the Russian State Duma restricting them from entering Britain, doing business with UK companies, or accessing their UK assets.
