Russian Minister of Digital Development Maxut Shadayev said on Tuesday that Russia has no plans to block YouTube. He stated that the government is careful not to hurt users when making similar decisions, APA reports citing Tele Trader.
Shadayev added that Russia does not intend to "close itself off" by restricting internet access but that it must "filter more finely" online content. "We don't want to close ourselves off from anyone. On the contrary, we believe that Russia should remain part of the global network," he noted.
