Russia registers 5,047 coronavirus cases in 24 hours, says crisis center

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Russia grew by 5,047 in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of infected to 18,255,337, the federal anti-coronavirus crisis center reported on Saturday, APA reports citing TASS.

In absolute terms the increase in new cases equaled 0.03%.

The number of coronavirus patients taken to hospital in the past 24 hours amounted to 2,498, down by 0.3% compared with the previous day. The number of hospitalized patients decreased in 41 Russian regions and grew in 39 regions in the reporting period, according to the center. In another five constituent entities of the Russian Federation the situation remained unchanged.
