Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak stated Thursday that a pipeline to China will replace the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline to Europe, out of operation amid the Ukraine war, APA reports citing Teletrader.
After being asked in an interview with Rossiya-1 if Moscow was looking for a replacement for the European Nord Stream 2 with Asia's Force Siberia 2, he said "yes."
Novak said earlier that Russian gas exports to the European Union would drop by 50 billion cubic meters in 2022.
