"The accession of Sweden and Finland to NATO could make adjustments in development of cooperation in the Arctic," said Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Chairman of the Arctic Council's Committee of Senior Arctic Officials, Nikolay Korchunov, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.

"Moreover, we must clearly understand that a change in the military-political status of the countries can, of course, make some adjustments in the development of high-level cooperation. Only time will show it. The issue should be considered in terms of whether Finland and Sweden will join the North Atlantic Alliance and how it will help build trust between the Arctic countries and public institutions," the Russian diplomat said.
