Normalization of Turkish-Armenian relations will help improve the general situation in the region, said the official of Russian Foreign Ministry Mariya Zakharova at the briefing held today, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
"We think that normalization of relations between Ankara and Yerevan would help improve the general situation in the region, formation of confidence environment and kind neighborhood. If you look, much has been done by Russia for the normalization of Turkish-Armenian relations in practice and reality from a historical point of view. We consider that appointing special envoys by Ankara and Yerevan for normalization of relations, is a logical and clever step. Russia has stated its readiness to deliver mediation efforts many times," stressed Russian MFA Official.
