Russian MFA: "Turkiye did not arrest the Russian ship"

"Turkiye did not arrest the Russian ship," said Deputy Director of Russian Foreign Ministry's Information and Press Department Alexey Zaitsev at today's briefing commenting on the information spread by Turkiye about the detention of the Russian ship, APA reports.

"According to the information of the Russian embassy in Turkiye, the Russian ship is currently in the port of Karasu and is undergoing a standard procedure, including phytosanitary control. In the end, the Turkish authorities will decide whether the ship should pass through the port or not. Therefore, there is no question of detaining the ship and arresting the cargo on the ship," said the Russian diplomat.
