"The page left through by Azerbaijan two years ago was the page of restoration of historical justice. Unfortunately, this page was written in blood," said Oleg Shein, who was a five-term MP of the Russian State Duma, and current head of the faction of the "Just Russia" Party of the Duma of Astrakhan Oblast, in an interview with APA's Moscow correspondent.

According to him, what happened two years ago was unexpected for everyone: "Azerbaijan solved the task that was openly announced by President Ilham Aliyev. Some time ago, I visited Karabakh and Shusha at the invitation of Polad Bulbuloglu, the ambassador of Azerbaijan, to Russia. It is impossible not to admire the pace of the work done on the reconstruction of Karabakh. I was impressed by how Azerbaijan restored the infrastructure and roads and what it did for the peaceful living of people in the lands freed from occupation. I wish that peaceful life in Karabakh will be restored soon."

The Russian MP said that friendly relations between neighboring countries are of great importance: "It is necessary to manage to establish friendly relations with neighbors because it is impossible to change geography. Argues and conflicts are possible, but not every conflict benefits the country itself from a strategic point of view. The decision regarding the opening of transport communications when the peace was signed was very important not only for Azerbaijan but also for Armenia. Since Armenia will have access to the big world market, trade relations, as well as its own development," the Russian MP stated.
