Russian President: “Russia and Iran have agreed to intensify settlements in national currencies”

We must try to revive the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, said Vladimir Putin, Russian President at a press conference held after the Astana guarantor countries summit in Tehran, APA’s Tehran bureau reports.

"The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action should be revived and everyone should implement it without discrimination."

Putin noted that the meeting of the heads of the guarantor countries of Astana was very useful and meaningful: “We have considered important issues in detail. The consolidation of the movements of the three countries will benefit the normalization of the situation in Syria. We had good bilateral talks with the Iranian leader. Both sides stated that bilateral relations should be comprehensively developed and cooperation should be made in regional and international issues.”

He noted that a discussion was held with the president of Iran and an agreement was reached to strengthen the use of national currencies and develop economic and trade relations.
