"We discussed the Grain Deal," Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a joint press conference on the results of his talks with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Sochi, APA's Russian bureau reports.
He stated that his Turkish counterpart paid great attention to this issue during the talks. Putin noted that Russia was forced into suspending this agreement: "The West deceived Russia about the humanitarian nature of the grain deal."
Russian leader also said that his country is ready to restore the grain deal. He stressed that the grain deal would be restored as soon as the ban on Russian agricultural products mentioned in the agreement is lifted. "Russia will be ready to reanimate the grain deal and will do it so as soon as all said agreements are fulfilled."
