Shoigu: Intelligencers are also included in EU’s mission in Armenia, sending CSTO mission to region is important

The main issue for the West is not to ensure the security and welfare of the South Caucasus in the long-term prospect, but to push Russia out of the region, said Defense Minister of Russia, Army General Sergei Shoigu at the meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the member countries to CSTO, APA reports.

He cited the European Union (EU) mission in Armenia as an example.

“An example of this is the so-called civilian mission of the European Union (EU) in Armenia, which also includes members of the military and special services. I consider that there is no need to explain what they are really doing there. In this regard, we consider it necessary to continue the work on sending the CSTO mission to the region,” added Russian Defence Minister.
