"Turkiye's foreign policy is always directed at peace," said Turkiye's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan while delivering a speech at the 77th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, APA's Istanbul bureau reports.

Erdogan added that Turkiye, as a country in the center of conflicts, is not a part of the creation of problems, but a part of the solution.

Erdogan touched upon the conflict that continues in Syria.

"It is unacceptable that Turkiye does not respond to the PKK and its affiliates, which are attacking our country and threatening the territorial integrity of Syria. We invite those involved in changing the names of terrorists to immediately disarm them and abandon their mistakes. We will never back down from doing what is necessary against terrorist organizations."
