Ukraine targets Sevastopol with cruise missiles, 2 dead, 26 injured in the attack-VIDEO -UPDATED

A missile attack in the early hours of today caused a fire at the Sevmorzavod shipyard in Sevastopol on the Crimean peninsula, APA reports citing Novinite.com.

In the Ukrainian strike and the fire, at least 26 people were injured and 2 died, the Russian-appointed governor of the city, Mikhail Razvozhayev, announced on Telegram.

Two ships were damaged after Ukraine fired 10 missiles, the Russian Defense Ministry said. Three boats were also destroyed.

"All emergency services are working on site, there is no danger to civilian objects in the city," said Razvozhayev.

Ukrainian Armed Forces have fired cruise missiles at the city of Sevastopol, the Russian Defense Ministry said, APA reports.

The missiles were launched at the Orconikidze Shipyard.

Two unmanned vessels of the Russian Black Sea Fleet were hit.

Air defense systems reported intercepting seven cruise missiles.

Mayor Mikhail Razvozhayev of Sevastopol stated that 24 people were injured, with four of them in critical condition.
