Ukrainian defenders repelled 81 attacks by the Russian Army in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Shakhtarsk directions over the past day, The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in its operational update published on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
“The Russian Federation continues to wage full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine. They focus their main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Shakhtarsk directions. Over the past day, our defenders repelled 81 occupiers’ attacks in these areas. The enemy is attempting to destroy our state's critical infrastructure, continuing strikes, and artillery shelling of civilian objects and houses of the civilian population. The enemy constantly conducts aerial reconnaissance to adjust their strikes," the report says.
Over the past 24 hours, the Russian forces launched 5 missile attacks and 13 air strikes, including two with the use of Shahed-136 UAVs targeting civilian infrastructure. The drones were shot down. In addition, the enemy launched over 50 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems, particularly on civilian infrastructure in Kherson and Donetsk regions. There were reports of killed and wounded civilians, destroyed civilian houses and damaged civilian infrastructure.
