Russian State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin said that cooperation with the Baltic countries is impossible due to the loss of sovereignty of these states, all decisions are made in Washington and Brussels, APA reports citing his Telegram channel.

“The leaders of the Baltic countries have been saying for 30 years that they are building independent states. In fact, all decisions are made in Washington and Brussels. Sovereignty has been lost… Cooperation with these countries is impossible because they have lost their independence,” Volodin wrote on his Telegram channel.

He also noted that the decision to lower the level of diplomatic relations with Estonia and Latvia should have been taken a long time ago because “the dead cannot die twice”.

According to him, these countries thrive on Russophobia, and their economic results are the worst in the European Union: “In the Baltic countries, more than elsewhere, human rights are violated: national minorities are wronged, they are forbidden to speak their mother tongue. language, independent journalists and human rights activists are persecuted”, – added the Chairman of the State Duma.
