“Inventory work is still underway in the liberated areas,” said Azerbaijani Culture Minister Anar Karimov at today’s press conference at ADA University.

He said that at present information has been obtained over 6 districts: "As information of today, 399 cultural institutions have been found in those areas. At the same time, 372 historical and cultural monuments have been identified. 195 of them are located in Shusha."

Minister said that the information received is being systematized at present: “The Ministry is drawing up a roadmap. It is planned to involve both local and foreign experts in this process. As for the restoration of monuments, we have already started the classification process. Of course, first of all, you need to start with the monuments of world importance. Restoration work will begin in the city of Shusha. As you know, the territory of Shushi has been cleared of mines and the city has been declared a cultural capital. Then the restoration of monuments will begin in Aghdam, Fizuli and other regions. But, as I noted, the first step in these areas is to completely de-mine the territories."
