Results of preliminary monitoring conducted in liberated lands from occupation submitted to UNESCO and ISESCO

First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Acting Minister Anar Karimov has appealed to general directors of UNESCO and ISESCO, the Ministry of Culture told APA.

The appeal highlights preliminary monitoring on identification of damage to cultural heritage  have been conducted in Azerbaijani lands liberated from occupation in recent days.

The results of the preliminary monitoring of the damage to the historical, cultural, and religious monuments of Azerbaijan in the territories occupied by Armenia have been noted.

It has been noted that the destruction of historical and cultural heritage is a gross violation of relevant international conventions and a crime against humanity.
