Work begins on project to restore destroyed religious monuments and mosques in liberated areas

On the instructions of President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva, a group of specialists has begun work on a project to restore religious monuments and mosques destroyed by Armenians in the liberated territories, APA reports citing Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

According to the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the head of the Austrian company Ateliers Erich Pummer GmbH, architect Erich Pummer visited the Agdam mosque and assessed the current condition of the mosque.

It should be noted that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation has launched a project to restore religious monuments and mosques in Karabakh, which is a national treasure of the Azerbaijani people.

The project will restore, conserve, and reconstruct our shrines in the region with the participation of local and foreign experts. Relevant work has already begun to restore religious places of worship in Shusha and Aghdam regions, which were destroyed during the years of occupation.
