On June 17, Minister of Culture Anar Karimov met with Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Thani, Minister of Culture of the State of Qatar, who is visiting our country to participate in the IX Baku Global Forum, APA reports citing the ministry.
The meeting focused on the development of cultural relations between Qatar and Azerbaijan and projects to be implemented in this field.
Minister Anar Karimov stressed the sustainable development of cooperation between the two countries in various fields of culture. He informed his Qatari counterpart about the newly established Cinema Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan in our country and expressed interest in studying Qatar's experience in the development of the film industry.
Anar Karimov informed the Minister about the global campaign "Peace for Culture" (Peace4Culture). He noted that the main purpose of the project is to highlight the importance of peace in the region for the protection of culture. The Minister invited the State of Qatar to take an active part in such initiatives.
