Azerbaijani Minister of Culture Anar Karimov has met with Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mehdi Ismaili, APA’s Tehran bureau reports.
During the meeting, Karimov expressed confidence that a new page would be opened in relations between Iran and Azerbaijan.
According to him, relations between Azerbaijan and Iran are at a high level and can develop further:
"The purpose of the visit to Iran is to develop political and economic ties between the two countries, as well as cultural ties. There is great potential for the development of relations between the two countries. The organization of a book exhibition and cooperation in the field of literature are examples of this. "
He welcomed Iran's interest in operating in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, especially in Shusha.
He invited the Iranian Minister of Islamic Guidance and Culture to visit Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, Mohammad Mehdi Ismaili called the relations between the two countries friendly and fraternal.
According to Mohammad Mehdi Ismaili, obstacles to the development of relations must be removed.
He said a memorandum of understanding will be signed between the two countries in the near future, which will give impetus to the development of relations.
