The deadline for accepting projects for an open competition of sculptures, announced by the Ministry of Culture, the Executive Authority of Baku and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in connection with the preparation of the monument to Haji Zeynalabdin Tagiyev, has been extended until August 31, The Heydar Aliyev Foundation told APA.
The decision was made by the rector of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Arts, academician Omar Eldarov on the basis of a letter from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation dated June 27, 2019, and circulation of a number of sculptors.
In the appeals, it was proposed to extend the period of the competition due to the completion of the work on sketches.
Note that the monument to Haji Zeynalabdin Tagiyev is planned to be installed on the square near the metro station "Icherisheher" (Istiglaliyat Street).
