"Cultural issues are the most sensitive and important in the post-conflict period," said ISESCO Director General Salim bin Mohammed al-Malik at the international conference "Development of the post-conflict humanitarian agenda: sustainable development through the revitalization of the cultural environment" in Shusha, APA reports.

He stressed the importance of working together to restore peace: "We must work hard to restore peace and achieve lasting peace. Serious needs, such as education and science, must be met parallel. We deeply believe in cultural heritage. Cultural heritage is one of the most important bridges for peace and living memory.”

The director said several key issues need to be addressed to support the people affected by the conflict.
