Nominations regarding art of pahlavan, oral tradition of Mullah Nasreddin anecdotes and tea culture included in UNESCO’s list of heritage-UPDATED

Suggested by Azerbaijan, the nomination "Art of Pahlavan, traditional Zorkhana games and sports” was included in UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, APA reports citing UNESCO’s official website.

This decision was made at the 17th session of UNESCO's Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage held in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco.

Also, "Oral tradition of Mullah Nasreddin anecdotes" (Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan) and "Tea culture: a symbol of identity, hospitality, and social connection" (Azerbaijan and Turkiye) were included in the UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

“Traditional silk production for cocooning, sericulture and weaving” nomination presented by Azerbaijan together with Afghanistan, Iran, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan was included in the UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, APA reports citing UNESCO’s official website.

The decision was made today at the 17th session of UNESCO's Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage held in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco.
