State Service: Great Mardakan Castle and Tuba Shahi Mosque will be restored with the support of Turkiye

"Important steps are being taken to expand relations and exchange of experience in the protection and restoration of cultural heritage," said deputy head of the State Service for Protection, Development, and Restoration of Cultural Heritage, Aghajavid Ramazanov, at the meeting of the Second Azerbaijan-Turkiye Joint Culture Commission, APA reports.

He touched upon the issues of cooperation with TIKA: "According to the letter of intent signed between the State Service and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), measures are taken to restore the Great Mardakan Castle and the Tuba Shahi Mosque with the support of TIKA. The preparation and approval of the documents of the entire project have been completed. It is planned to start restoration and conservation works for a short period of time".
