V Kharibulbul Festival to be held in Shusha on May 12-14

The V Kharibulbul International Folklore Festival organized by the Ministry of Culture, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and the Shusha City State Reserve will be held in Shusha, the culture capital of Azerbaijan, on May 12-14, the Ministry told APA.

The International Music Festival held in Shusha and other Karabakh regions in May 1989-to 1991 was reorganized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Shusha on May 12-13, 2021 after a 30-year break. The first festival held in 1989 has been dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Shushinsky.

Alongside the local singers, music groups from the Kyrgyz SSR, the Kazakh SSR, the Bashkir SSR, the Lithuanian SSR, and the Belarusian SSR were also represented at the festival. About 100 people have attended the festival in total. Concerts have been organized in the 7 places constructed in the Jidir Duzu. The first day of the event has been remembered with the competitions on the Karabakh horses and wrestling competitions. The spectators of the first festival were mainly residents of Shusha.
