Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Union of Cinematographers and Azerbaijanfilm studio named after Jafar Jabbarli have appealed to young people who wish to receive higher education in the field of film industry in Russia.

The appeal reads that as a result of negotiations with the Russian State University of Cinematography, the following specialties were singled out for bachelor’s degree education in Russian for 5 years at the expense of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism: film and TV producer (2 students), cameraman (2 students) and director of animation and computer graphics (1 student).

At a press conference held in Nizami Cinema Center on Tuesday, the director of Azerbaijanfilm studio named after Jafar Jabbarli, Mushfig Hatamov, said there is a need for professional staff in the field of modern cinema.

“Incorrect assessment of author films and commercial films sometimes reveals lack of personnel. However, the talented staff can shot better films,” he said.

The Union of Cinematographers and Azerbaijanfilm studio have established a selection committee to determine well-trained candidates for sending to the entrance exams in Moscow.
