“We held a meeting of about 4 hours with Moscow and Azerbaijani Community, living in the surrounding area of Moscow. The meeting was attended by heads of Azerbaijan’s large Diaspora organizations in Russia”, said Fuad Muradov, Chairman of State Committee on Work with Diaspora, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
“As a State Committee, we were aware of general issues in regard with Azerbaijan Diaspora in Russia. However we thought to listen to standings of our Diaspora activists ourselves in site”, stressed F. Muradov.
He noted that meeting with Diaspora representatives was held in a very constructive manner: “I believe, we will observe outcomes of the meeting soon. We have been instructed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on achievement union of Azerbaijan’s Diaspora organizations, acting abroad. We would really want that various organizations in Russia to act for the same target, jointly work for realization of Russia’s and Azerbaijan’s interests. There is a ground for it. We have very highly-intellectual Diaspora in Russia, in other words, there is everything that is necessary. There are different issues which we should solve in order to achieve the union. An agreement has been reached on establishment of Coordination Council of Azerbaijan Diaspora in Russia. We will continue our activity in this direction.”
