State Committee appeals to Azerbaijanis living abroad in regard to coronavirus

The State Committee on Work with Diaspora has appealed to the Azerbaijanis living abroad in regard to coronavirus, APA reports citing the appeal received from the State Committee.

The appeal reads that the coronavirus having spread in most countries of the world necessitates being more careful, and complying to the fullest extent with hygienic requirements and a number of other requirements.

“The State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Azerbaijan Republic appealing to the world Azerbaijanis states that due to spread of the virus in many countries of the world, the State Committee constantly obtains information about our compatriots living abroad by means of Azerbaijanis’ Coordination Councils, the Azerbaijani houses, the Diaspora organizations and separate individuals, inquires about their condition, gives enlightening recommendations and tries to provide spiritual support to our compatriots using all possible means. Especially, the Azerbaijanis living in Italy where this virus has spread widely, and where a significant number of Azerbaijanis have settled down and are receiving education are in the center of attention of the Azerbaijani Government including the State Committee.

The State Committee maintains intensive contact with diplomatic representations of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Operative Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers (Hot line: *994-1542).

At the same time, the operative preventative measures have been taken at the State Committee on Work with Diaspora due to spread of the coronavirus. A task force has been established at the State Committee under the leadership of the deputy head of the Administrative office Adil Huseynov (www.diaspora.support, email: [email protected]), and the relevant awareness-raising works are being implemented.

We ask our compatriots to appeal to the Committee’s social network accounts, e-mail addresses, as well as other electronic addresses in regard to any problem or difficulty related to the above-mentioned topic. The State Committee on Work with Diaspora is ready to help each our compatriot within its authorities and capabilities. In addition, the Azerbaijanis are recommended to strictly comply with the rules and the requirements regarding coronavirus adopted by the governments of their countries of residence. Note that the works are underway currently in order to respond quickly and systemically to the appeals made to the www.diaspora.support and [email protected] addresses”, the appeal notes.
