Fifth Global Baku Forum kicks off

The Fifth Global Baku Forum titled “Future of International Relations: Power and Interests” kicked off in Baku March 16.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is taking part in the forum, APA reported.

Organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center with support from the State Committee of Azerbaijan on Work with Diaspora, the two-day forum will bring together nearly 300 representatives from 53 countries.

Among them are President of Latvia Raimonds Vējonis, President of Montenegro Filip Vujanović, Albanian President Bushar Nishan, Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov, Georgia's President Giorgi Margvelashvili, Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovin Mladen Ivanić.

Moreover, Saudi Arabia's Prince Turki al-Faisal, former head of the country’s General Intelligence, Chairman of King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies, former Prime Minister of Israel Ehud Barak and Former Speaker of Israel’s Knesset Dalia Itzik, Palestinian Deputy Prime Minister Ziad Abu-Amr, President of the Senate of Jordan Faisal Al-Fayez, Libyan Foreign Minister Mohammed al-Dairi, Arab League secretary general and former Egyptian foreign minister Amr Moussa, Turkey's former foreign minister Hikmet Cetin, former Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, former Prime Ministers of Jordan Taher al-Masri, Abdurrauf Ravabde and Abdelsalam al-Majali, Former Secretary of State of the Russian Federation, former Deputy Prime Minister Gennady Burbulis, ormer director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, Former Deputy Foreign Minister Vyacheslav Trubnikov, Former Polish Presidents Aleksander Kwasniewski, Bronislaw Komorowski, Pakistani statesman, former Finance Minister and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, former Prime Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zlatko Lagumdžija, former Presidents of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk,Leonid Kuchma and Viktor Yushchenko, popular U.S. political analyst, international relations expert, Host of CNN's Fareed Zakaria GPS, editor of Newsweek International, Fareed Zakaria will also participate in the forum.
