About 2000 observers registered in connection with early Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan

“About 2000 local and foreign observers have appealed in connection with early Parliamentary elections so far and almost all of them have received positive responds”, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan told reporters today, APA reports.

Chairman of the CEC noted 1630 of registered observers are local: “Number of foreign observers is about 70. Observation Missions of OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights and CIS Parliamentary Assembly have already started their activity. Observers of Italy, Czech Republics, and Saeima of Lithuania have just been accredited. Representatives of Moldavian Central Election Commission will also observe elections. Registration process of foreign observers is rapidly going on now.”
