The Ministry of Foreign Affairs acting in the capacity of the national coordination center will ensure implementation of efficient relations with other states being the members of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) established by the Convention on “the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons” and being the parties to the aforementioned Convention, APA reports.
This has found its reflection in the Decree about implementation of the Law of the Azerbaijan Republic “on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use and the Destruction of Chemical Weapons” signed by Preaident Ilham Aliyev today.
According to the Decree, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will fulfill the function of the National Body in this area.
