Azerbaijani MES delegation paid a visit to Russia

On February 4, 2021, MES delegation led by the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan Colonel General Kamaladdin Heydarov was on a visit to the Russian Federation, APA reports citing MES.

In the frame of the visit Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov met with the Minister of Civil Defence, Emergency Situations and Elimination of the Consequences of Natural Disasters of the Russian Federation Yevgeniy Zinichev. In the meeting, the current state and prospects of cooperation between the ministries were broadly discussed. It was stressed that the events, visits, and meetings held within the existing close cooperation between the agencies provide an opportunity to further expand relations with mutual benefit.

Views were also exchanged on appropriate humanitarian measures taken in the liberated Azerbaijani lands. Representatives of the relevant rescue teams of both ministries attended the meeting via video conference. The issues of demining, as well as the training of Azerbaijani pyrotechnic-specialists were also discussed.

During the visit Azerbaijani MES delegation viewed the activity of the National Crisis Management Center of the Russian MES, too.
