President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today issued an order on measures to eliminate damage to civilians, state property, including infrastructure facilities as a result of intensive shelling of the Tovuz region of Azerbaijan by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, APA reports.
The order says:
As a result of Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia intensively fired at the settlements in the direction of Tovuz region of the state border of Armenia and Azerbaijan deliberately and purposefully, with large-caliber weapons and heavy artillery starting from July 12, 2020, civilians, state property, as well as infrastructure facilities severely damaged.
Guided by paragraph 32 of article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in order to eliminate the damage, complete restoration of damaged facilities and speedy repair and construction work, I decide:
1. The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan together with the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan should ensure in a short time the evaluation of the damage caused to the civil population, state property including infrastructure facilities as a result of opening intensive fire on Tovuz region of the Republic of Azerbaijan by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia and should submit the information about results of the evaluation to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
2. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan should submit to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan its proposals regarding the financial means required for elimination of the caused damage, full restoration of the damaged facilities and prompt implementation of construction and repair works in accordance with the information submitted on the basis of the 1st part of this Order".
