"Sometimes we have to take tough actions against those violating the quarantine regime. But they should also realize their responsibility. All the rules are designed to protect people’s health, including those who violate the quarantine regime. However, we see that some people are openly violating this regime," President Ilham Aliyev said in an interview with local TV channels on July 6, APA reports.
"The disgraceful incident that happened at a famous hotel yesterday is unacceptable. Therefore, of course, the Azerbaijani police was right to intervene. I gave the police the strictest order to respond to all violations in an appropriate manner. No-one is above the law – whether it is a local or foreign company, a local or foreign citizen. It doesn’t matter – we must protect our people, their health. At the same time, the existing laws and regulations applied in connection with the quarantine regime should be the basis for everyone. Therefore, we will continue to take steps in this direction. I believe that if those violating these rules show more responsibility and discipline, we can keep the pandemic under control," said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
