Azerbaijani deputy proposes to commemorate “Martyrs’ week” in country

The deputy chairman of Labor and social policy committee of the Azerbaijani Parliament Malahət Ibrahimgizi has proposed to commemorate “Martyrs’ week” in Azerbaijan, APA reports.

M. Ibrahimgizi making a speech at today’s plenary meeting of the Azerbaijani Parliament said in Turkey and other countries, the memory of martyrs is honored during a certain one week every year.

The deputy proposed to determine and to include in the calendar a certain week for commemoration of martyrs in Azerbaijan as well.

She said the memory of all martyrs would be honored during that week in Azerbaijan.
