CEC discloses voter turnout at municipal elections

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has disclosed initial voter turnout at the municipal elections held today, Farid Orujov, Head of Information Center of CEC Secretariat told APA.

He said the countrywide voter turnout amounted to 423361 persons as of 10:00 a.m. The voter turnout accounted for 8.51 percent.

Note that the municipal elections were launched today, at 08:00 a.m. The election will end at 19:00 o’clock. Besides, the preliminary data on the course and results of the voting will be provided by Information Center of CEC Secretariat at 12.00, 15.00 and 17.00 o’clock. The received data regarding the course and results of the polling are considered as preliminary data not bearing a legal significance.
