Hikmat Hajiyev: “It is more recommended Azerbaijani citizens to stay in the country where they are”

“Nearly 550 citizens have appealed to Call Center, launched in Embassy in Russia. These citizens may come by registering through system”, said today Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration at the press conference organized by Task Force under Cabinet of Ministers, APA reports.

According to him, when they register in the system, they will come consecutively, and then others will also be able to come by registering in this sequence: “It is a system, aimed at online and convenient registration and comfortable return of Azerbaijani citizens to the Homeland. Azerbaijani citizens, living in regions of Russia, do not need to come to border of the country. Their evacuation will be carried out in accordance with system’s sequence. However, it is more recommended that Azerbaijani citizens, living abroad for temporary reasons, to stay in the country where they are. It is due to high infection risk of coronavirus. It is essential Azerbaijani citizens to stay where they are and to follow quarantine regime.”
