International organizations issued statement supporting Azerbaijan

Parliaments of some countries and international organizations have expressed support to Azerbaijan, the Press and public relations department of the Azerbaijani Parliament told APA.

The parliaments of a number of countries and the international parliamentary organizations have come up with statements supporting Azerbaijan in connection with committing of provocation by Armenia on the site of Tovuz region of the state border with Azerbaijan.

The chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (GNAT) Mustafa Sentop and the numerous deputies of the GNAT, the head of the Russia-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group Dmitri Savelyev, the first deputy chairman of the Supreme Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk, as well as the group of friendship with Azerbaijan, the co-chairman of Pakistan-Azerbaijan friendship group, the chairman of the Standing Committee of Pakistan Senate Muhammad Talha Mahmood, the members of the Italian Senate Vito Petrocelli, Maria Rizzotti, Rossana Boldi, Stefano Lucidi, Gianluca Castaldi, Paolo Grimoldi, the Foreign Relations Commission of the Columbian Senate, the chairman of the Mexico-Azerbaijan friendship group Agustin Garsia Rubio, the head of the friendship group in the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies Claudio Cajado, the deputies of the Iranian Parliament, the deputy chairman of the Public Commission Vali Ismaili, the member of Indonesia’s House of Representatives Anggiya Erma Rini, the chairman of Iraq Turkmeneli Party Riyaz Sarikahya, the General secretary of TURKPA Altinbek Mamayusupov, the General secretary of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass have issued statements supporting Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity are supported, the provocation committed by Armenia on the state border with Azerbaijan is resolutely condemned and the inadmissibility of these steps of Armenia is stressed in the statements. At the same time, the full contradiction with norms and principles of international law of the fact of occupation by Armenia continuing for as long as about 30 years is expressed.
