According to the information of Cabinet of Ministers the state borders between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Islamic The Republic of Iran has been closed from February 29 at 16:00 based on restrictive regime, for two weeks temporary period, the press service of Azerbaijani MFA told APA.
Relevant discussions have been held between relevant state bodies of the countries. The necessary corridor will be provided with coordination of Iran for the departure of the citizens of Iran who are in Azerbaijan, and the arrival of Azerbaijani citizens to the country who are in Iran by applying relevant regime.
Hotlines are functioning in the embassy of Azerbaijan in Tehran and in the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Tabriz in order to ensure the return of our citizens to Azerbaijan.
