Number of Azerbaijani citizens, evacuated abroad regarding pandemics, announced

"As a part of taken measures in Azerbaijan, evacuation process of our citizens abroad has been carried out", Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan-Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan Hikmat Hajiyev said at a briefing held by Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, APA reports.
H. Hajiyev noted evacuation of citizens on the basis of determining the schedule, is conducted.
“Azerbaijani citizens, registered from May 4 within the framework of newly-established “I am going home” portal were brought from Moscow to Azerbaijan by plane on May 5. 94 Azerbaijanis were brought from Iran on May 5. 212 citizens were evacuated from Turkey with 2 charter flights on May 7, 50 Azerbaijanis from Dashkend and 52 Azerbaijanis from Riga on May 8. On May 12, Azerbaijani students were evacuated from Moscow with charter flights. Evacuation of 124 from Minks to Azerbaijan was ensured. On May 14, 198 people are considered to be brought from Kyiv to Azerbaijanis.”
Head of Department in Presidential Administration noted more than 540 Azerbaijani citizens have been evacuated from Russia by land: “Evacuated people are kept under control.”
