2296 people have applied to participate in the early parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan which scheduled for February 9, 2020, Chairman of the Central Election Commission Mazahir Panahov said at a meeting today, APA reports.
According to him, 463 of the candidates were nominated by 19 political parties: "17 were nominated by initiative groups and 1816 nominated individually."
According to him, the nomination of 2146 applicants has already been approved. Of these, 2017 have already received their signature sheets, 774 have returned, and 458 have been registered as candidates.
