The number of polling stations equipped with chip-reading devices on new identity cards has been announced in connection with the upcoming municipal elections in Azerbaijan tomorrow, Mazahir Panahov, chairman of the Central Election Commission, said at a press conference today, APA reports.
According to him, 5049 polling stations were provided with a chip.
It should be noted that more than 1.5 million people have been issued new generation ID cards in Azerbaijan, of which over 1 million are voters.
